Skateboards and Movies

This weekend was movie-filled to the MAX. During a normal month, I might rent two movies. Well, this weekend I rented 3 and watched all 3. AND I reallllly wanted to see Horton Hears a Who, but didn't have time :).

Friday, we watched 30 Days of Night with a group. I hate scary movies with a passion, I don't see any point to them. This was about 30 days of darkness in Alaska, and these vampires come out and try to eat everyone. Yeah, bad idea. I had my face covered for probably half of this movie because it was so gross!!! No nightmares that night though :)
I watched Into the Wild on Saturday night, I really liked it! It was the kind of movie you need to be 'in the mood for' though. It was pretty slow moving but I think it had a really good message.

Watched the Bee Movie and was pretty disappointed. I love animated movies, and thought this was so funny in the beginning. But by about half way through the movie I was bored, and didn't see any point to the movie at all lol. So I didn't make it all the way through :)

On Sunday, while Matt was at work I took Molly to the big park right by out house....she tested out her skateboarding skills :) When the skateboard wasn't moving she kept trying to eat and attack it, but once I gave it a push she would hop right on and paddle herself down the road! It was pretty entertaining :)
p.s. I went to the Doc for that weird bump behind my ear and discovered it is a cyst. Ew. So if it doesn't magically disappear I'll have it removed.. exciting news, I know ;)

Throbbing....

* This is gross to me. If you are easily grossed out just don't look...*
I was sitting at work and all of the sudden this throbbing pain was behind my ear. I swear its bigger than this picture shows lol but I have a rock hard lump behind my ear that hurts SO bad. It appeared so fast and out of the blue! I didn't sleep well last night because I always sleep on my left side and any time I rolled over in my sleep it woke me up because the pillow was touching it. I hate it, I don't know where it came from or what the heck it is! I looked it up online and there was everything from lymphoma, cancer, infections, blah blah blah....if It doesn't go away in a couple days I'll head to the Dr but its all very gross and painful...has anyone else ever had this happen??? I doubt it, but its worth a shot :)
:)

P.S. Pretty sure I set my own record for 3 posts in one day! Must be a slow day at work!

46645

I love Google

....I use them daily and thought I'd spread the word just incase you don't know about these things.... If you haven't checked out their new 'street view' yet - its a must! Go to Google.com, click on 'Maps', try typing in your address up top. And if the street has a blue outline on it, you can actually see a real picture of what you will see on that exact address. I know they don't have this option for all cities yet - but if I'm looking up directions to somewhere I like to check it out on Street View (I'm a visual person) to see what I'm getting into lol- check it out if you haven't already.

Also...if I'm going somewhere or need to look up a number to a restaurant I just type in the number 46645 (GOOGL) on my cell phone for who I'm sending the text message to. Then just type in the name of the place, the city, and the state. Then send the text and it will write you back within seconds giving you the addresses and phone numbers for any matches in that area. It also works if for weather, sports, flight schedules, etc. just send messages to 46645. Its rad, and its free. Thanks Google for making life easier lol

I'm craving to have....

This: This:

And lots of this:

Total value = over $1000

aka: not in my budget.

Darn.

Weekend Trip

Jack and I drove to Hermiston this weekend to go to Tyler's reception...I'm so glad we went! It has been over a year since I have been there (HORRIBLE, I know), and it was so good to see everyone! Tyler and Tara are so cute together and 'just fit' if you know what I mean :) !!! I'm sad I didn't get to stay longer, :( so Jack and I tried to cram in everything we wanted to do while we were there...

We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house which was great...and stopped by Sheila's, Mary's and the Benxisens house before we left on Sunday afternoon. The weather was beautiful and I was so happy I didn't have to drive in the rain!!!

Speaking of the drive...Jack was a very very...VERY...big chatterbox!!! :) I think there was about 15 minutes total of silence during the ride there and back lol. He's one curious kid. It was question after question that he wanted answered lol. For example, 'Kari, why is the power line on the bottom thicker than the one above it?'...Me: 'I don't' know Jack...'..Jack: 'What does it mean when that sign says -traffic patrolled by aircraft-"...Me: 'What do you think it means."...Jack: "Well, like, traffic is being patrolled by someone in an airplane or helicopter or, something." ...Me: 'Good job'...

You get the point. lol and then he spent much of the ride asking about all of the different religions and what they all believe in. (I think they're studying this in school), his favorite bands, the speed limit and how I was going 6 over and was going to get pulled over any minute, etc.

I will post a few pictures I took while we were there when I get home....
