Feburary so far....

I don't think I've written since Valentines day....SO here's whats been going on in the life of the Gentry's....

- For V-Day, Matt took me to the macaroni grill and I had some yummy shrimp scampi! It was the first time I had it and it was very good (and garlicy!!!). Then we headed back home because Matt had his final test in the morning so he crammed some more studying in before bed. He got me the perfect gift....a MASSAGE that was sooooo great! I think I had a huge knot going from my shoulder all the to my lower back. OUCH, it was soooo painful half the time - but a good kinda pain, if you knwo what I mean. I'm glad Mando (yes, that was his name aye aye aye! jk...) couldn't see my face as he practically pushed as hard as his 250 lb body could straight into my back. I was clenching my teeth and my eyes were popping out of my head. lol but the feet rub made up for the pain!!!
I got Matt an engraved money clip because I remember him saying he wanted one a while back. I think he liked it, I hope. :)

- I've been back into the Dr a couple more times and got some good news (I guess). Earlier they thought a blood vessel was being blocked leading to my kidney and would have to do go in and 'unclog it' or whatever. But after more tests they said that's not the problem, for some reason the top half of my kidney never developed. So, I'll just be taking blood pressure medicine for the rest of my life! fun fun

- Matt passed his final Insurance test!!!! Yayyyy, he was so nervous and had been studying every day so we are glad that part is over with!! So if any of you in Oregon are needing new auto, life, house, etc Insurance please call Matt :)

- Jack and I are taking a trip to Hermiston this weekend for my cousin's wedding reception!!! Matt isn't able to get work off, My parents will be in Mexico, and Eli has a competition so it'll just be me and Jack making the trek to Hermi-town! Should be fun and I'm excited to see everyone - its been forever it seems!!!! See you all on Saturday :)

- I can't wait to watch Supernanny tonight lol...one of the chicks from WILSON PHILLIPS is on their with her crazy kiddos. I used to LOVE love LOVE Wilson Phillips..."Hold on for one more dayyy" mm Can't wait.

Get to know me inside and out! :)

Last week I had another test for my kidneys, it was a Nuclear Dye test. They injected radioactive isotopes (i think) through an IV (one of my phobias) into my body and took pictures and videos of my kidney function for almost 2 hours. It was quite boring but very interesting to watch. I had Matt take a picture of the screen with my phone.....The one on the left is a nice chunky kidney that seems to be doing his job and the wimpy one on the right aint doin so hot. The pile on the bottom is my bladder :) lovely eh? I don't know the results of this test and was just told I have to go in again on Wednesday to do this all over again to verify whats going on because they found abnomalities. Ahhh the joys of medicine advances.

Its been a while....

Looks like I haven't posted for over a month! OOPS :) Well I'm at work and a little distracted but here are a few things that have been going on...I'll try to post pictures later.

- Matt turned 25 on the 10th! He is so old now lol...we went out to Gustavs and had some yummy fondue! I got him Mixed Martial Arts classes to try out for a month :) we'll see how that goes, he seemed to like them!

- After 14 years of going to different Dr's in hopes of discovering why I have such high blood pressure we think we FOUND IT!!! I had an echocardiogram, MRI, and blood tests a week ago and they discovered that my right kidney is very shrunken, as well as the artery leading to it. I was probably born with this and there is about a 90% chance that I will need to have it removed. :( Scary.

- Matt has his Insurance License test this week and if he passes he will be able to start working with Farmers as an Agent

- I cut two inches off and added brown streaks in my hair :) I was tooo blonde so its a nice change

- Teaching Sunbeams so far has been a learning experience. I have eight three year olds, 2 girls and six boys. Sitting in Primary again is a flashback, and I have definitely forgotten a lot of primary songs lol...I have two boys that are really tiring and hard to handle. Talk about testing my patience. Its funny to see how each kid is soooo different. The girls are my little helpers and act like angels, and 4 of the boys are hyper as ever and think class time is karate class. And the other two boys are all about telling me who is doing what and why they are breaking the rules. Aye. I need to start taking Sunday naps. lol but it is fun thats for sure! They say the funniest things!

Freaking out.

So, I've never really had a (what I consider) 'real' calling in the church...The closest its come to is an activities coordinator for the singles ward lol that didn't take much work....

I found out last night that I have been called as a Primary teacher. I'm freaking out. This may be the next easiest calling ever lol but I'm totally nervous. I don't know how much these kids know or how many kids I'll have or if I know how to teach!!!! I'm freaking. Ugh.

Tree time!

Its officially Christmas time when the tree goes up :) We finally were able to get a Christmas tree Friday night! I LOVE Christmas time...I wish it were year round!

Merry Christmas everyone! And to top it off, its SNOWING!!! Snow is great and exciting and all but personally, I hate it. I hope it doesn't stick! I think its the driving factor that freaks me out the most with snow, but if it DOES stick then I can't WAIT to get out of work tomorrow :)
