FABULOUS IDEA

Who needs a camera cord when you have a memory card?? All this time....I've been waiting for the camera cord which was being stored at Saras when instead I could plug my memory card into the computer itselr. Genius. SO I'm going to try and post some pictures of the past couple months! Starting with....the drive from Florida to Vegas. 40 hours.
We drove through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisianna, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and finally Nevada. Wow. Here's a quick recap:


There were creepy ghost towns EVERYWHERE. So strange, its like you were going back in time. I believe this one was in New Mexico.
Flattering, lovely, beautiful, dreamy. There's really no other way to describe it. (Matt found it halarious to take pictures of my in my deep, deep, deep sleeps all along the way) hahaha enjoy. There's more..Ohh there's more...they're all flattering, lovely beautiful, and dreamy.

We stopped in Texas to go to SIX FLAGS!!!!! Best part of the trip by FAR. This ride was amaaaazing. 250 ft drop into a dark tunnel. The force was insane...you had to take a few minutes for your body to realize that 'hey, the rides over. relax'

Mississippi

This captures the feeling of the entire road trip. Molly, sleeping or day dreaming as she hovered over the ice chest wishing she could have a front row view. Matt, smiling as he drove every single mile of this adventure. I didn't drive one. WOW.

PS. we really wanted to stop by chelsea and daves. When is the next time we'll be in Texas??! :( Unfortunately it was 6 hours off route and unfortunately we couldn't handle any more driving) Sorry Chelsea!! :(

Christmas in October

Matt and I are moved-in to our humble abode in Wilsonville! The last 3 days we have been unpacking box after box finding more and more goodies that we forgot all about! Hence the title of this post, it's been like Christmas opening up our old "stuff". I never thought I'd miss a 9x13 so much. haha Or my pink kitchen aid, THAT was exciting. :) But most of all, my own bed and furniture! It feels so good to be back and know that we aren't going anywhere for a while. The job search has been intense since we have gotten home. Our days existed of hitting up Craigslist, Jobdango, Career Builder...etc. and crossing our fingers for that magic phone call. Matt has gotten a job at AT&T starting the 15th. He is also working for Farmers Insurance on his down time to build clientel (sp?) which he hopes to make his job for the next few years at least. Me on the other hand, have not had the best of luck. I've got two interviews tomorrow and hopefully they go well!!

Woa.

Ok. So its been a LONG time since I've written in here. Been living in Las Vegas since Mid-August and just got back not too long ago. Matt and I are staying at my parents until Thursday and then we will finally have a home again!!!! We are moving into an apartment in Wilsonville, Oregon. Until then, we are living off of one suitcase. (About 3 outfits each, which we've been living off of since we drove to Las Vegas) lol its horrible. I can't wait to have all my furniture and clothes back!! I have many many pictures of our trip and places we've been, but my camera cord is at sara and justins along with lots of our stuff we couldn't fit in out tiny car. I will post more once I can go get my stuff :)

1 Year

Our one year was last Sunday. Matt had me fooled and texted me Friday while he was 'in a meeting' to pack our bags, we're leaving today for the weekend!..and all along I was SURE he was taking me to the spa for our anniversary haha it was my only suggestion. :) But nope, we left Friday afternoon and drove to Orlando!! We spent Saturday and Sunday at Dishney World, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and MGM Studios! It was a BLAST!!! Here are some pictures...I can't believe its already been a year! The point of this was to look like we were 'wearing' mickey's hat. Totally not.

The Tower of Terror ooooo ahhhh, such an awesome ride!!! It was between that one and the aerosmith indoor roller coaster that were our favorite!

Random things going on....

Its been fluffy wussy dog heaven at Sara's this weekend haha she is babysitting a girl's two maltipoo puppies and I'm holding Diva. Dogs galore! Since I don't have kids, all I have to share is miss Molly...who went into HEAT. I hate it. People say 'its not that bad....' well, I would never do this again lol the poor thing can't fit in any diapers because she's shaped like a weirdo! She hates the diaper idea, they last about 5 minutes before they fall down. 2 and a half more weeks to go ....ugh.

we got a car!

There it is. Our first car bought together!!!! Isn't it a beauty :) Its a G35 coupe....BUT. Its a stick. Thats not as fun....or as easy. But its nice! Puttin the plate on, Matts probably wetting his pants at this point.

We made a trek out to THE EVERGLADES ooo.....Went on a wind-boat (or whatever, you know that has the big fan on the back...) and into the swamps of Florida! Alligators came right up to our boat!!! Scary, but so glad we did it! This guy was nuts, after the boat tour we got to watch this nut case handle a real alligator. You can't see it in the pic, but his left hand has only 2 fingers left...because they got bit off. Crazy Nature....this birds flexible!

ooooo this one was up close and personal with us....about a minute before this, he snapped at another alligator about 2 feet from our boat because it was going in its territory
